The Purpose of the FC is to be a ministry of presence to fire department personnel, their families, and on the scene of an incident.  The FC assist the victims of the tragedy in receiving aid from community help organizations.

The FC understands the demands and stress of a firefighter. Sometimes you just cannot disconnect. The daily bombardment can lead to stress becoming critical. The firefighter needs a safe, non-judgmental and confidential arena to deal with issues. The critical incident stresses daily impact their lives, job and home.

The FC builds informal relationships in the work place; and becomes a friend who can address critical stress incidents. Any fire personnel may go to the FC without having to notify their supervisor; and they can be assured that all communications are strictly on a confidential basis and will not be released to departmental members or any other person.  

The FC is an appointed, certified, trained, qualified person who is endorsed by their religious organization.             

The Fire Chaplain … a presence … caring …. Listening …. for firefighters, their families, victims and all department personnel.  The FC assist all public safety personnel, along with administrative employees, and family members, upon request.
