In Christ love and service
Helping HandsMatthew 25:35-36 NIV I was hungry, and you gave me food. I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink. I was alone and away from home, and you invited me into your house. I was without clothes, and you gave me something to wear. I was sick, and you cared for me.... Helping HandsHOME OF THE OFC/ACFA

The Fire Chaplain (FC) of the ACFA has many duties. One of the things the FC does is manage the Helping Hands Program. This includes shopping for, assembling, storing, and delivering the Victim Disaster Boxes.
The Disaster Box is a way to immediately put into the hands of the victims of a crisis (such as a house fire), the hygiene supplies, food and water they need for the first 24 hours of their crisis. So, no matter where they may be staying that night they will have some basic supplies.
As the program grows by receiving more money, I hope to see gift cards, shopping cards, restaurant cards, meal vouchers, and more supplies. As the program grows I hope to see added other "BOXES" that are needed. These include, a baby/infant box, staple food box, a winter/hypothermia box with mylar blankets, poncho's, insulated blankets, beanie caps, gloves, and hand warmers.
The ACFA is a 501-c-3 tax exempt organization and you can donate to the Fire Chaplain Fund of the ACFA to help fund these disaster boxes.
